Location: Harts House Care Home, Harts Grove, Woodford, Woodford Green, IG8 0BF (CQC Rated: Good | Carehome.co.uk: 9.1/10)
Salary: £12.25 - £13.25 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday)
Shift Patterns: Flexible shifts including 07:00 - 15:00, 10:00 - 18:00, or 08:00 - 18:00

We are partnering with Harts House (part of Bupa) to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join their vibrant catering team. In this role, you will act as the vital link between the kitchen and our residents, helping chefs plate delicious meals, keeping prep areas spotless, and bringing warmth and a friendly smile to every mealtime.
What You’ll Be Doing
Acting as the key link between the main kitchen and our residents to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Assisting chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and catering for special events like summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
Ensuring all food preparation areas are kept sparkling clean, tidy, and compliant.
Monitoring stock rotation and strictly adhering to company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
A passion for food with previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A warm, communicative, and people-oriented approach, comfortable interacting with residents and cherishing those little moments together.
A strong understanding of the importance of maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards across the home.
