Salary: £12.90 per hour + Excellent Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (24 hours per week, Shift Pattern: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Are you an experienced horticulturalist or grounds maintenance professional with a passion for creating beautiful, welcoming outdoor spaces that bring joy to others?
We are partnering with Richmond Villages Aston (part of Bupa) to find a dedicated and practical Gardener for a part-time role. In this vital position, you will take pride in maintaining our large site of mature gardens, wildflower meadows, and bowling green, ensuring our residents enjoy stunning, safe, and pristine surroundings.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintaining a large site of mature gardens, wildflower meadow areas, and a community Bowling Green.
Applying sound knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, pruning, and seasonal gardening tasks.
Safely and effectively operating gardening and grounds maintenance equipment, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations.
Handling basic outdoor maintenance tasks, including fence repairs, painting, and general upkeep.
Supporting the broader maintenance team as needed while delivering exceptional, friendly service to our residents.
What We’re Looking For
Previous gardening, grounds maintenance, horticultural, or landscaping experience (an NVQ in Horticulture is a welcome bonus!).
Familiarity with the safe use of chemicals under COSSH regulations and standard outdoor tools.
A proactive, practical, and organized approach with a keen eye for detail and real pride in your work.
Friendly, approachable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a supportive team.
