Position Type: Fixed-Term (Until 31 August 2027, with immediate start) | Part-Time (30 Hours/Week, 39 Weeks/Year – Term Time Only)*
Salary: £22,989.06 – £24,107.39 per annum (pro-rata for part-time/term-time hours) + Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) & Lift Schools Benefits

Supportive Bridge Staffing is excited to partner with Lift Rawlett in recruiting a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated secondary support team.
In this role, you will work closely with subject teachers, pastoral colleagues, and the SENDCO to help students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop crucial independent learning skills. You will provide targeted support both inside the general classroom and through individual and small-group interventions, catering to a diverse range of learning needs (including SEND).
Classroom & Academic Support: Partner with teachers to help students access lesson content, achieve learning objectives, and develop independent study skills.
Targeted Interventions: Deliver structured individual and small-group learning sessions tailored to specific student needs under teacher direction.
SEND & Inclusion: Adapt learning resources and support techniques to accommodate pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Behavior & Wellbeing: Promote positive behavior, support social-emotional development, and foster an inclusive, safe environment where students feel valued.
Progress Tracking & Collaboration: Monitor student engagement and attainment, feed back insights to class teachers, and collaborate with parents/carers and external support teams.
Extracurricular Support: Assist with learning resource preparation and accompany students on off-site educational visits or activities when needed.
Essential Qualifications & Attributes:
GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent, or willingness to work toward Functional Skills qualifications).
Patient, resilient nature with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic understanding of how children learn and develop (or strong willingness to learn).
Uncompromising commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) OR relevant practical experience demonstrating equivalent skills in an educational/youth setting.
