We are currently seeking a passionate and community-focused Active Wellbeing Lead (Armed Forces) to join the team. In this rewarding role, you will help strengthen connections between the leisure sector, local organisations, and the Armed Forces community across Shropshire, leading activities and outreach initiatives that support veterans, serving personnel, and their families.
What You’ll Do
Outreach & Delivery: Coordinate and support the delivery of activities, monthly veteran activity sessions, and military family outreach events (including community festivals) across Shropshire.
Armed Forces Covenant: Embed and promote the Armed Forces Covenant throughout the Trust, championing its principles with local health, voluntary, and leisure partners.
Pathways & Growth: Promote volunteering and work experience opportunities for veterans to help create pathways for personal and professional growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and represent the Trust at local Armed Forces Covenant groups and community forums.

Organization & Communication: Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate activities, manage competing priorities, and work independently.
Essential Requirements: Must hold a full driving licence and have access to transport to travel across the local area as required.

Vetting and Checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and relevant police information in line with safeguarding requirements and the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Candidates will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure proper workplace support is provided.
