About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Avery Healthcare to recruit an experienced, passionate, and talented Head Chef for Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes.
In this vital leadership role, you will manage and lead a dedicated culinary team to provide nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality meals that significantly contribute to the health and well-being of our residents, all while managing operational budgets effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare modified diets that look visually appealing, are well-balanced, and strictly adhere to IDDSI guidance.
Place food orders with approved suppliers using proper levels of authority, maintaining stock control and quality while staying within agreed budget limits.
Supervise, direct, and mentor kitchen and host team members, instructing and demonstrating food preparation activities to staff.
Practice safe systems of work across all tasks, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and manual handling standards for residents, visitors, and staff.

What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 2 years of experience managing a culinary team within the care or hospitality sectors.
Qualifications: Relevant catering qualifications, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ.
Passion & Standards: A deep commitment to delivering top-tier culinary standards and dining experiences for elderly residents.
Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage kitchens efficiently and control budgets.
