Job Title: Medical Records Officer
Location: Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, London, SW5 0TU
Rate of Pay: £25,592.51 per annum + excellent benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotational shift pattern: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
We are partnering with the world-renowned Cromwell Hospital in Kensington to find an organized and efficient Medical Records Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. As a Medical Records Officer through Supportive Bridge, you will provide an efficient records service, liaising closely with the Senior Medical Records Officer to promote a highly proficient system that supports patient care and hospital administration.
Locate, prepare, and distribute medical records to Outpatients, Admissions, and other departments while maintaining an accurate tracer card system.
Retrieve and modify patient details using hospital computer systems, filing and retrieving case notes, pathology results, and documentation.
Adhere to procedures for secondary storage, retention, and archiving of medical records using departmental scanning systems.
Handle telephone calls and enquiries courteously, professionally, and efficiently.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times, demonstrating full understanding of the Data Protection Act and Access to Medical Records policies.
Complete medical record reception duties in Outpatients and compile daily statistics and departmental registers.
Previous administration experience with strong organizational skills and an aptitude for meticulous document filing.
Previous experience within medical records is desirable.
Excellent telephone manner, communication skills, and good overall IT literacy.
Competitive Salary: £25,592.51 per annum on a stable, full-time permanent contract.
