Perfectly positioned in the suburban town of Keynsham, right between the vibrancy of Bristol and the peaceful countryside, Elm Tree House provides a warm residential home for eight male and female adults. Residents here are autistic or live with a learning disability, including individuals who are deaf. What You’ll Be Doing

As a Bank Support Worker, you will jump in to support a compassionate team utilizing personalized, proven therapies. Your presence ensures residents maintain their daily routines, safety, and choice.

Empowerment & Choice: Actively support residents in decision-making, helping them map out personal goals and outcomes while promoting choice at every turn.
Key Working Support: Take on key working responsibilities, ensuring personal care plans are precisely followed, documented, and reviewed.
Daily Care Operations: Assist qualified staff with routine daily activities, care plan implementation, and tasks that preserve the dignity and treatment standards of the residents.
Safety & Professionalism: Maintain high standards of security, confidentiality, and policy adherence, presenting the service in a proactive, positive light.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Adult social care is dynamic and deeply rewarding, but navigating behaviors and diverse communication barriers requires high resilience.

Qualifications: GCSE or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. An NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable. If you do not hold an NVQ 2, you must be willing to commence the attainment process within six months of joining.
Flexibility & Innovation: A creative approach to problem-solving and a natural ability to adapt quickly to the shifting needs of a residential home.
Empathy & Awareness: Your natural warmth helps you support others through life's highs and lows. Experience in a related environment or knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) is an advantage but not essential.
Please note: All roles are subject to a successful disclosure check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), which is fully funded and covered by Priory.
