We are excited to represent Avery Healthcare in their search for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join the award-winning team at Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Surrey.
Are you an experienced maintenance professional looking for a hands-on role where you can ensure the safety, comfort, and smooth operation of a luxury care facility? As a Maintenance Coordinator, your focus will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, guarantee the smooth running of all facilities, and uphold an exceptional standard of general building upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Promptly resolving home maintenance concerns utilizing a working knowledge of building systems and regulatory requirements (including plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning [HVAC], electrical repairs, and interior/exterior finishes).
Managing compliance checks, water tests, fire safety training, and routine fire testing.
Engaging with approved contractors when required and sourcing alternative suppliers as needed.
Responding to and covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the building or internal systems.
Direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant (where applicable), including day-to-day supervision, objective setting, annual reviews, absence management, and holiday authorization.

Requirements:
A solid, practical understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
A strong grasp of health, safety, and fire safety systems.
The ability to make responsible, independent decisions and act strictly in the best interests of residents.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
