About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Yusen Logistics, a global leader in supply chain management, to recruit a strategic and results-driven Stock Integrity & Inventory Operations Manager.

Based at their state-of-the-art Sustainable Distribution Centre in Northampton, you will lead and develop the inventory function across a large-scale, multi-chamber (Ambient and Pharmaceutical) operation. This role holds strategic accountability for inventory governance, regulatory compliance (GDP/MHRA), customer relationship management, and driving high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Governance & Strategy: Lead all inventory management functions, ensuring strict adherence to KPIs, SLAs, and regulatory frameworks (including GDP and MHRA standards for pharmaceutical operations).

• Operational Excellence: Oversee cycle counting, stock reconciliation, root cause analysis for discrepancies, and annual stock audits.

• Customer Partnership: Act as the senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, leading regular performance reviews and driving continuous service improvement.

• Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and structure a high-performing inventory team, fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and wellbeing.

• Health & Safety: Maintain robust site safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work across the facility.

• Continuous Improvement: Champion lean methodologies, process enhancements, and systems optimization (WMS/SAP/Opus).

What You Will Bring

• Degree-level education or equivalent industry experience.

• Significant leadership experience in stock control or inventory management within a large-scale logistics or distribution environment.

• Prior experience managing inventory in multi-temperature or highly regulated sectors (e.g., Pharmaceuticals).

• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS experience with AS/400 Opus or SAP is advantageous).

• Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement projects (Lean Six Sigma exposure desirable).

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

• IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable).
