Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Includes an on-call rota, including weekends)

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of the funeral service team, you will help families say the perfect goodbye with professionalism, dignity, and respect.

• Care of the Deceased: Prepare, transport, and provide personal care for the deceased (please note that roles involve direct physical contact with the deceased). Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.

• Funeral Duties: Safely lift, carry, and bear coffins using proper manual handling techniques and equipment. Drive funeral vehicles and collect the deceased from various locations.

• Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure vehicles, equipment, and facilities are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.

• Administration: Utilize IT systems, computers, and mobile devices to maintain accurate, timely client management records.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking empathetic individuals who can react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances.

• Driving Licence: A full manual UK driving licence is essential.

• Physical Capability: Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, including manual lifting and handling.

• IT Confidence: Good digital skills with the ability to use computers, tablets, and smart devices confidently.

• Customer Service: A sensitive, compassionate approach with exceptional attention to detail and adherence to health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
