About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant on behalf of a specialist healthcare provider in Broadway, Worcestershire.

Key Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centred care to service users.
Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
Assist with monitoring physical and emotional wellbeing.
Participate in ward rounds and contribute to individual care plans.
Observe, record, and report changes in service users' behaviour and health.
Maintain accurate care records in accordance with organisational policies.
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Promote dignity, independence, and recovery-focused care.
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment while following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or in a similar healthcare role within the UK.
A compassionate, caring, and patient-focused approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Good observational and record-keeping skills.
Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

About the Service

The successful candidate will work within a specialist hospital providing assessment and treatment for young people aged 13 years and above experiencing eating disorders and associated mental health conditions.

The service supports individuals with conditions including:

Anorexia Nervosa
Bulimia Nervosa
Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals, you will help create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment focused on recovery, wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes.

Working Hours

38.5 hours per week
12.5-hour shifts
Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:15 PM
Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:15 AM
Rotating shifts, including weekends and nights.
Additional opportunities may be available for part-time, nights-only, or bank (zero-hour) positions.
