Location: Moorlands Lodge Care Home, Portsmouth Road, Surrey, GU26 6TJ
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time (Shift Details: 07:00 AM to 08:30 PM, including weekends)
Closing Date: 17 September 2026
About the Role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join the award-winning team at Moorlands Lodge Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. In this leadership support role, you will work closely with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff while helping to mentor and develop team members.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor resident wellbeing closely, ensuring care plans and written records are updated dynamically to reflect changing needs.
Lead and participate in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
Support residents safely with their medication requirements.
Undertake staff supervisions and support team development where required.
Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are addressed and any concerns or complaints are escalated appropriately.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Must hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health and social care for care homes.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
Skills & Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing both residents and staff, and a flexible, responsive approach to responsibilities.
