ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Deputy General Manager & Clinical Lead at Barchester Healthcare’s Lindum House Care Home, you will work closely alongside the General Manager to maintain exceptional care standards and lead daily operations in their absence. You will inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring every resident enjoys the highest quality of life through rigorous clinical oversight and strategic management.
Core Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership: Supervise clinical practice, conduct regular quality audits, and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Operational Management: Step into leadership duties in the General Manager’s absence, developing and executing operational strategies.
Team Development: Support, mentor, and motivate staff, including guiding newly qualified nurses through preceptorship programs.
Governance & Safety: Manage clinical risk assessments and oversee safeguarding investigations.
Business Operations: Assist with budget management, HR processes, and local sales & marketing initiatives to maintain occupancy and community engagement.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and business-savvy clinical leader with a proven track record in care home management.
Requirements & Experience:
Professional Registration: Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN).
Qualifications: Teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification.
Clinical & Governance Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing varied health needs, clinical risk assessments, and safeguarding investigations.
Management & Preceptorship: Proven track record in HR procedures, preceptorship support for new nurses, budget management, and sales/marketing awareness.
Personal Attributes: Compassionate, determined, and energetic leader committed to high standards of person-centred care.
