Angio Anaesthetic ODP / Nurse - Bank
Location: Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Road, Kensington, London, SW5 0TU
Hourly Rate: £34 per hour (incorporating payment of annual leave)
Contract Type: Bank Shifts (Flexible pattern including early shifts, late shifts, extended long days, occasional weekends, and participation in an on-call rota for urgent cases)

We are partnering with the prestigious Cromwell Hospital (part of Bupa)—a major international private hospital in West London—to find an expert Angio Anaesthetic ODP or Nurse to join their expanding bank team. In this specialized role, you will provide skilled anaesthetic assistance and clinical care in a fast-paced, high-tech Cath Lab environment.
Providing skilled assistance to anaesthetists during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia, including managing airways and securing invasive lines.
Monitoring patient vital signs, anaesthetic depth, and cardiorespiratory status continuously, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
Collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary Cath Lab team (cardiologists, interventional radiologists, physiotherapists, and radiographers) to ensure seamless care.
Assisting with safe sedation and analgesia delivery, pre-procedure preparation, and patient positioning.
Maintaining equipment, strict infection control standards, radiation safety protocols, and accurate clinical documentation.
Current UK professional registration as either a Registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) or a Registered Nurse (NMC).
Diploma of Higher Education or BSc in Operating Department Practice, or BSc Nursing (or equivalent qualification relevant to perioperative care).
Anaesthetic course certification (if RN) or equivalent ODP training certificate, with proven competence in cardiac catheterisation and interventional radiology.
Evidence of ongoing professional development in cardiology, radiology, pain management, or conscious sedation, alongside strong communication and teamwork skills.
