At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we have partnered with Lift Schools to offer an exceptional Initial Teacher Training (ITT) opportunity on the Tuition Fee-Paying Route at Lift Beacon High in Islington, North London. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this 1-year school-based programme enables you to work towards gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Eligible trainees can access a £29,000 tax-free Department for Education (DfE) bursary alongside student finance options to cover tuition fees and living costs while training inside a supportive, close-knit secondary academy.
£29,000 Tax-Free Bursary: Access significant DfE bursary funding (subject to eligibility) plus student loan support to finance your training year.
Dual Qualifications: Graduate in 1 year with both a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Practical Classroom Immersion: Gain real-world teaching experience as a trainee Maths teacher, backed by dedicated 1-on-1 mentoring as you gradually take on independent teaching responsibility.
Personalised Mentoring & Coaching: Guided by an in-school coach and personal subject tutor who provide weekly feedback, ongoing advice, and tailored career support.
Weekly Collaborative Training: Spend half a day every week attending targeted training modules alongside fellow trainees across the Ark Teacher Training and Lift Schools networks.
Two-Week Summer School: Prepare for your training year with two weeks of focused learning (2–13 August 2027) covering lesson planning, behaviour management, and core educational theory.

To be eligible for this Tuition Fee-paying Maths ITT position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Degree: An undergraduate degree (2:2 classification or above) completed by the start of the programme. A degree in Mathematics, STEM, or a related field is preferred (or a strong A-Level in Maths at Grade C or above).
GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
Teaching Status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work Rights: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
