As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of engaging and stimulating activities designed to enhance our residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help bring joy, connection, and purpose to their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
Report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
Help establish and build links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums, and libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activities.

Experience: Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting is essential.
Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, a strong understanding of the vital role social interaction plays in personal well-being, and a positive, compassionate attitude toward older people.
Requirements: Applicants must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK and undergo a DBS disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
