Senior Theatre Practitioner Scrub – Orthopaedics/Spinal
Location: Cromwell Hospital, London, SW5 0TU (5 mins walk from Earls Court underground or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road underground)
Salary: £46,195 - £54,700 per annum + £3,000 Golden Hello (or £5,000 towards domestic relocation costs, if applicable)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday across various shift patterns)

We are partnering with the prestigious Cromwell Hospital (part of Bupa)—a major international private hospital featuring six advanced operating suites—to find a dedicated Senior Theatre Practitioner Scrub for Orthopaedics/Spinal. In this key role, you will provide expert clinical and technical assistance across complex surgical procedures, helping to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a core member of the operating theatre team during orthopaedic and spinal procedures.
Assisting in patient positioning, preparation, immediate post-operative care, and ensuring specimens are accurately labeled and dispatched.
Controlling cross-infection by strictly observing departmental policies regarding asepsis, decontamination, sterilization, and a clean working environment.
Taking charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring patient, visitor, and staff safety.
Participating in induction and orientation programmes, supporting junior staff development, and ensuring equipment is thoroughly checked prior to use.
1st Level Adult and/or Children's RN registration (NMC registered) OR ODP (HCPC registered) with a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies, ODP Level 3 NVQ, or ODA 752.
Extensive scrub experience within a busy, dynamic operating theatre environment.
