About the Service – Ellwood Road

Ellwood Road is a specialised, person-centred supported living service in Peterborough. In this role, you will be dedicated to supporting a single adult with complex care needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

The service user is an active individual who attends full-time education, uses a wheelchair, is PEG-fed, and requires comprehensive support with personal care, moving, and handling.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your goal is to help deliver "Extraordinary Days, Every Day" by empowering independence, building confidence, and protecting the dignity of the individual you support.

Key Responsibilities:

Personalised Care: Deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored to the individual’s specific care plan.
Daily Living Support: Assist with daily life skills, personal care, and specialized moving and handling requirements.
Community Engagement: Accompany and support the individual during activities, educational commitments, appointments, and community outings.
Teamwork & Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records and collaborate closely with your team members.
Rota Flexibility: Work a flexible shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.

Who We Are Looking For

You don’t need years of experience to be a fantastic Support Worker—you just need the right heart and attitude.

What you need to bring:

A caring, patient, respectful, and resilient nature.
Excellent communication skills and basic IT/written abilities.
Flexibility, reliability, and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.
A willingness to work towards a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (fully supported).
A full UK driving licence is desirable, but not essential.

Visa Restrictions Note: Please note that we may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full 37.5 contractual hours or specific rota requirements of this role.
