About the Role
Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and passionate about stock accuracy? Through Bridge Staffing Agency, we are recruiting for a Perpetual Inventory (PI) Operative to join Bidfood in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working with data to ensure inventory is managed flawlessly within a busy warehouse environment, keeping stock integrity high so products are always available for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Counts & Investigations: Conduct regular stock counts and complete a rolling 20-day perpetual inventory cycle.
Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, manage Hub & Spoke/IBT discrepancies, and process credits/invoices.
System & Date Management: Maintain accurate records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), monitor date-sensitive products, and manage damaged stock, returns, and quarantine processes.
Team Support: Collaborate with suppliers, depots, and internal departments while supporting the Stock Manager and wider stock team.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Skills: Previous background in stock control, inventory management, or warehousing, paired with strong attention to detail and investigative problem-solving skills.
IT Literacy: Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Windows applications.
Work Approach: A flexible, positive mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Helpful Extras: Forklift truck certification or prior Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is advantageous (full training and ongoing support provided).
