We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for a dedicated Warehouse and Cleaning Operative to join their team at the Warwickshire Depot in Binley.
About the Role
As a Warehouse and Cleaning Operative, you will be pivotal to the success and smooth operation of the depot. You will ensure that vital medical devices and equipment are safely handled, meticulously cleaned, decontaminated, and ready for deployment.
This role blends warehouse management, barcode stock tracking, decontamination duties, quality assurance, and technical checks like PAT testing and LOLER examinations to keep community healthcare services running safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely load and unload delivery vehicles in a compliant manner.
Perform thorough decontamination and cleaning of medical devices and equipment.
Manage "goods in and out" accurately utilizing barcode system scanners.
Pick and quality-assure each day's delivery workload.
Carry out PAT testing, LOLER checks, and occasional general repair tasks within the depot.
Maintain a duty of care to service users, working independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
About You
You are a dependable, flexible individual with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Experience: Ideally, some prior experience in a warehouse and/or cleaning operative role is desirable.
Flexibility: Willingness to be flexible with working days/hours to suit business needs and participate in an emergency on-call rota.
