About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant on a permanent full-time basis (40 hours per week) on behalf of Abbey Park in Coventry, a welcoming home supporting older people and those living with dementia.
In this valued role, you will support the Cook in delivering nutritious, well-presented meals that meet residents' dietary needs while helping to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety standards and MHA's core values.
What You Will Need
Essential Certification: A basic food hygiene certificate.
Experience: Previous experience in basic food preparation is desirable, but a strong work ethic and positive attitude matter most.
Teamwork & Organisation: The ability to follow instructions, prioritise tasks effectively, and work well within a close-knit, family-like team.
Flexibility & Proximity: A flexible approach to work, including alternate weekend shifts, and sensitivity to the needs of older people. Ideally living within 15 miles of Coventry (CV3 4FE) for a manageable commute.
