Salary: £24,840 to £31,050 per annum pro rata (inclusive of comprehensive benefits including pension, 33 days annual leave, private healthcare, and free laser eye surgery)
Contract Type: Permanent / Part-Time (19 hours per week across 2 days, primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays with flexibility required)

About the Role Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Optegra UK Ltd—recognized by the Sunday Times as one of the Best Big Places to Work—to source an experienced Healthcare Technician / Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) for their prestigious private hospital in Hounslow. In this supportive and forward-thinking environment, you will work closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams and optometrists, delivering comprehensive, high-quality care across outpatient consultations, pre-assessments, and surgical pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality patient care and support throughout the patient journey, ensuring excellent communication during clinic and surgery days.
Perform advanced diagnostic testing, including Biometry, OCT, A-Scan, Visual Fields, Pentacam, VA, IOP, and Topography.
Collaborate with clinical and patient services staff to ensure the smooth, efficient running of operating lists.
Handle patient inquiries effectively, provide health promotion advice regarding ophthalmic surgery, and deliver pre- and post-operative care within your competency level.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification, alongside current Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Experience: Proven experience working within a healthcare environment or ophthalmic sector (ward, theatre, or outpatient setting).
Core Competencies: Highly organized with exceptional forward-planning skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive and flex under pressure.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
