About the Role
In this impactful role, you will support the Software Team in designing and implementing software solutions that align with the Product Owner's vision. Focusing primarily on the Hybrid Navy product baseline, you will ensure solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability within complex naval ship environments.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design, development, and integration of software components within a complex naval systems architecture.
Develop and enhance software solutions using Agile and DevSecOps practices, delivering high-quality code and automated test capabilities.
Actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement and successful team delivery.
Collaborate closely with engineers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to define requirements and solve technical challenges.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills & Qualifications):
Software Development Experience: Proven background in software development within a structured engineering environment.
Testing & CI: Practical experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and automated testing methodologies.
Technology Integration: Familiarity with using and integrating third-party software technologies.
DevSecOps Mindset: Ability to translate technical guidance within a DevSecOps approach into useful, reusable design and code artefacts.
Educational Background: Academic qualification in a STEM-related subject (or equivalent experience), coupled with the ability/willingness to achieve Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status through a recognised professional institution.
Security Note: Due to defense and export control restrictions, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
