Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a motivated and compassionate Homelessness Team Leader to join their dedicated outreach team in Lewisham.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will guide and support a team of outreach workers and volunteers helping individuals experiencing multiple and complex needs move away from rough sleeping and into safer, more sustainable housing. You will oversee day-to-day operations, support staff across various shift patterns (including evenings, nights, and weekends), and foster strong multi-agency partnerships to deliver joined-up homelessness responses.
Team Leadership & Supervision: Provide day-to-day guidance, supervision, and shift support to outreach workers and volunteers to ensure safe and effective practice.
Service Management & Performance: Allocate caseloads, monitor performance, maintain high-quality standards, and play an active role within the service management team.
Partnership Building: Build robust relationships with key partners, enforcement teams, and accommodation providers to proactively address rough sleeping and street activity.
Complex Needs Support: Drive positive outcomes for individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance misuse issues.
Experience: Solid experience working within homelessness or housing services, featuring a deep understanding of assertive outreach approaches.
Knowledge Base: Comprehensive knowledge of housing, welfare, benefits systems, mental health, and substance misuse challenges.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational, leadership, and flexible response capabilities to manage a busy service under changing demands.
Requirements: Deep commitment to reducing rough sleeping. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
