Pay: £14.00 per hour
Hours: 24.00 hours per week (Part-time, Permanent)
Schedule: Days (4 days across Monday–Friday, 6 hours per day)

At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Maintenance Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the estate and facilities team at Bloomfield Care Home in Bath, Somerset.
In this varied and hands-on role, you will take pride in keeping the care home's building, living spaces, and surrounding grounds maintained to the highest standards. From completing routine health and safety checks to executing general repairs, painting, and gardening tasks, you will ensure the home gives an excellent first impression every single day.
Key Responsibilities
Property Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out day-to-day general repairs, routine maintenance, painting, decorating, and basic plumbing/carpentry tasks.
Grounds & Exterior Upkeep: Ensure garden areas, paths, and building exteriors are clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming.
Health & Safety Governance: Perform routine safety checks and testing (e.g., water temperatures, fire alarms, emergency lighting) to ensure full compliance with care sector standards.
Resident Interaction: Interact warmly, patiently, and respectfully with residents while working in their living spaces.
About You
Experience: Practical experience in property maintenance, facilities upkeep, or general trades.
Skills: Versatile hands-on skillset with a reliable, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.
Attributes: Patient, caring, respectful, and genuinely interested in enhancing the daily lives and safety of residents.
