This position provides a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting local hospital networks through the safe and timely transport of essential clinical equipment.

In this flexible role, you will act as a primary point of contact between the sterile services unit and local healthcare facilities. Joining a supportive logistics operation, you will help ensure critical surgical supplies are delivered efficiently while enjoying competitive hourly rates and unsocial hours enhancements.

Role Description

As an HSSU Driver, you will handle the safe collection, transportation, and delivery of sterilized surgical equipment, maintaining strict adherence to driving standards and vehicle upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport, collect, and deliver sterile equipment to local hospital clients safely and on schedule.

• Maintain accurate tachograph records, complete delivery documentation, and uphold current driver hours legislation.

• Perform routine vehicle checks, keep equipment in good order, and promptly report any mechanical faults or stock issues.

Requirements

• Full UK driving license with C1 entitlement (permitting vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW) and a digital tachograph card.

• Comfortable with heavy manual handling, including moving transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg.

• Flexible approach to working hours across shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.
