About the Role

As a permanent Part-Time Care Assistant at Red Oaks, you will help residents enjoy their evenings by making sure they receive the quality care, support, and companionship they deserve during the twilight hours.

Working a 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift pattern (including alternate weekends), you’ll assist with evening routines, support residents with food and drink, follow individual care plans, and share wonderful moments and memories. It’s a rewarding way to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with evening routines, personal care, and comfort.

• Assist with evening meals, drinks, and nutritional needs.

• Follow personalised care plans and maintain accurate daily records.

• Provide meaningful companionship and dedicated one-to-one interaction.

• Help create a warm, calm, and welcoming atmosphere during evening hours.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Some prior experience caring for older people.

• Communication & Attitude: Excellent communication skills with a proactive, can-do approach.

• Values: Genuine empathy, a warm-hearted nature, and deep compassion for resident wellbeing.

• Availability: Able to commit to a permanent twilight shift pattern (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM) including alternate weekends.
