Salary: £45,583.51 - £52,379.50 Per Annum (CGL Scale points 40 to 46 during preceptorship, with progression to a higher grade upon completion)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a dedicated and ambitious permanent Practitioner Psychologist (Preceptorship) to join their multidisciplinary team in Blackpool. We warmly welcome applications from both newly qualified Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologists, experienced practitioners, and Trainee Practitioner Psychologists due to complete their training in 2026.
In this rewarding clinical role, you will be supported through a structured 18-month to 2-year preceptorship scheme designed to build competence and confidence across clinical and managerial domains. Working under the supervision of a senior registered Psychologist and within CGL's national Psychology Team, you will deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations, and recovery-focused interventions while championing a trauma-informed culture across the service.
Clinical Assessment & Formulation: Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, clinical formulations, and recovery-focused interventions for service users.
Trauma-Informed Culture: Ensure psychological perspectives remain central to team thinking, fostering physical, psychological, and emotional safety across the service.
Team Empowerment & Training: Support the empowerment of teams and individuals, increasing professional knowledge, skills, and confidence around complex psychological needs.
Professional Development: Engage actively in regular reflective practice, peer support, research, and CPD opportunities within CGL's national Psychology network.
Qualifications & Registration: Qualified Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist with current HCPC registration (or a Trainee Psychologist due to complete training in 2026).
Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge and application of evidence-based psychological models, interventions, and formulation methods within a health or social care setting.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication skills, a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, and a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Requirements: Supportive team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Career Progression: A defined, supported preceptorship pathway leading to progression to a higher grade Highly Specialist Practitioner Psychologist position upon successful completion.
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
