The Role: What You Will Do

As a Bank Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children and young people during the night. Every night is different—some shifts are quiet and focused on monitoring, while others require active, compassionate reassurance for children who wake up distressed.

Overnight Welfare & Care: Provide consistent supervision and support, carrying out regular welfare checks to ensure our young people feel safe and secure.
Emotional Reassurance: Support children who may struggle to settle, wake during the night, or require specialized trauma-informed care and reassurance.
Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the home remains secure, clean, and well-presented throughout the night shift.
Reporting & Communication: Complete night logs, records, and handover reports accurately and professionally for the daytime team.
Safeguarding: Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience is not essential for this role. We provide a comprehensive induction, specialist therapeutic training, and ongoing support to help you succeed.

The Requirements:

Age: Must be 22 years of age or older (to meet strict Ofsted regulatory requirements for children's residential services).
Licence: Must hold a valid, manual UK Driving Licence.
Resilience: The ability to remain entirely calm, professional, and grounded in challenging situations.
Flexibility: Availability to work flexible night shifts across our local homes.
Character: A caring, compassionate approach with a natural ability to build trust and positive relationships.
