Salary: £21.48 per hour (£18.48 base rate + £3.00 shift premium, paid weekly)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-time with guaranteed hours and overtime opportunities)
Working Hours: Sunday, 11:00 AM to 21:00 PM (Additional hours may be available and can be discussed at interview)
About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit a reliable, part-time Live Haul Driver for their primary transport team in Hereford. Key Responsibilities
Transport & Delivery: Drive scheduled routes to collect poultry safely from farms and deliver them on time to the Hereford processing facilities.
Bird Welfare & Compliance: Strictly adhere to animal welfare regulations, driver hours laws, and safety guidelines at all times.
Vehicle & Load Management: Check loads, complete necessary transport paperwork and timesheets, couple/uncouple trailers, and maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of lorries.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Primary Transport Shift Manager, contribute to continuous improvement targets, and handle manual tasks (lifting items up to 18kg).

What We Are Looking For
Licence & Qualifications: A valid HGV Class 1 driving licence (with a minimum of 2 years Class 1 driving experience), an up-to-date DCPC Card, and an active digital tacho card. (Poultry welfare qualification training will be provided).
Experience & Skills: Sound knowledge of drivers’ hours laws, basic IT proficiency, good numeracy and literacy, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
Attitude: A flexible, safety-conscious approach with strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
Important Requirement: Due to strict Bird Welfare guidelines, applicants must not own any avian pets or poultry.
