Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with a premier specialist in cyber test ranges to recruit a proactive, detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will take charge of designing, implementing, and supporting critical IT infrastructure for organizational and customer environments. Design and Implementation:
Plan, design, and implement physical and virtual IT infrastructure solutions.
Ensure timely delivery of solutions aligned with precise customer requirements.
Maintenance and Support:
Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for deployed IT infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve reported IT infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
Conduct regular system health monitoring, backups, patch/vulnerability management, and lifecycle hardware/software upgrades.
Documentation:
Create, develop, and maintain comprehensive documentation for all deployed and supported infrastructure.
Document critical incidents and record remediation steps clearly.
Automation:
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to boost the efficiency of routine system administration tasks.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
Solid background in system administration and support.
Experience taking the lead on IT project deliveries.
Technical Competencies:
Networking: Experience with vendors like Cisco, Juniper, HP, and Dell, alongside core protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Virtualization: Proficiency in VMware or Hyper-V.
Scripting & IaC: Familiarity with Ansible/AWX, Python, PowerShell, or BASH.
System Administration: Strong foundation in Microsoft and Linux environments.
Backup Technologies: Experience with NetBackup or Veeam.
Non-Technical Skills:
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive both independently and within cross-functional teams.
A proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward learning new tools and technologies.
Desirable Additions:

Base Salary: Up to £78,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
