Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Five Rivers Child Care Ltd to recruit qualified and experienced bank workers for Clannad House, their specialist residential children's home in Orpington, Kent. This is an ideal opportunity for skilled residential childcare professionals seeking flexible, as-needed work to support the home during annual leave, sickness, or peak periods while making a profound difference.
Working within an integrated framework of residential care, education, and clinical services, you will help children and young people aged 7 to 18 recover from trauma, loss, or instability. Utilizing our attachment and trauma-informed care model, you will provide consistent, nurturing support to help residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to rebuild their lives.
Direct Care: Deliver safe, consistent, and nurturing care, acting as a dependable role model for children and young people.
Daily Support: Assist residents with everyday routines, appointments, activities, and emotional regulation, ensuring a structured and supportive atmosphere.
Therapeutic Environment: Apply your professional experience to foster a trauma-informed culture built on trust, play, and healthy relationships.
Operational Duties: Contribute to household tasks, accurate record-keeping, and the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
Flexible Cover: Work flexibly across a variety of shifts—including evenings, weekends, and overnight sleep-ins—aligned with your availability and the home's needs.
Qualifications: Relevant Level 3 qualification in Residential Child Care (or equivalent, such as the Children and Young People's Workforce diploma).
Experience: Proven professional experience working with children and young people in a residential childcare setting.
Personal Qualities: Compassionate, patient, resilient, calm under pressure, and possessing a good sense of humor.
Age & Mobility: Aged 19 or over, ideally holding a full UK driving licence.
Compliance: Right to Work in the UK and willingness to undergo safer recruitment checks.
