In this role, you will act as a vital lifeline for people struggling due to age, illness, or vulnerability, helping them live more independently and feel more connected across Inverness and the surrounding area. Holistic Support: Provide personal, emotional, and practical support to adults in their own homes or community settings.
Daily Living Assistance: Assist service users with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication support.
Professional Collaboration: Liaise closely with health and social care professionals to guarantee consistent, high-quality care.
Safety & Wellbeing: Promote safety through thorough risk assessments and routine welfare checks.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills paired with a caring, respectful, and upbeat approach.
Experience & Knowledge: Background supporting people with physical, sensory, or mental health needs, alongside familiarity with community care resources and risk assessments.
Flexibility & Requirements: A flexible attitude to cover evenings and weekends as needed.
Mandatory Requirements: Successful candidates must register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK (note: unfortunately, visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role).
Leave: 36 days annual leave (pro-rata, including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
