About the Role
As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a essential role in ensuring residents are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for throughout the night, providing attentive assistance and maintaining a quiet, soothing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Overnight Personal Care & Support: Assist residents with bedtime routines, night-time checks, personal care, mobility, and morning preparation.
Care Plan Execution: Follow individual resident care plans and risk assessments to ensure safe, dignified, and personalized overnight support.
Reassurance & Monitoring: Conduct regular, respectful welfare checks and offer comforting one-to-one support or hot drinks to residents who wake during the night.
Team Handover: Collaborate closely with night staff and nursing colleagues to maintain accurate care records and ensure smooth handovers between day and night teams.
About You
We are looking for reliable, empathetic individuals with strong communication skills and a deep commitment to high-quality care for older adults.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience caring for older adults (in professional or personal care settings).
Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, and a practical, proactive approach.
