As a Pharmacy Colleague, you will be the welcoming face of a hugely popular in-store pharmacy, providing patients with the same warmth and friendliness they experience throughout the store.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for career growth. We are committed to your professional development: you will be supported to complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within your first 6 months, followed by training as a Dispensing Assistant. Please note: To be employed in this role, you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
What You Will Do
Provide Excellent Care: Confidently and discreetly discuss personal health issues with customers, resolving problems quickly and guiding them to the right products.
Process Prescriptions: Accurately assemble and process prescriptions, and collect prescriptions from local doctors' surgeries on behalf of customers.
Support Clinical Services: Assist the Pharmacist with patient services (e.g., blood pressure checks, stop-smoking schemes) and ensure effective, accurate record-keeping.
Promote Pharmacy Services: Drive customer awareness of extra services, such as the Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews.
Maintain High Standards: Develop a thorough understanding of strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work meticulously within them.
About You
Flexible & Reliable: You are available to work 29 hours a week across a mix of morning and evening shifts, including a required weekend day.
Detail-Oriented: You possess good computer skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for accuracy.
Empathetic Communicator: You are naturally friendly, love problem-solving, and care deeply about giving customers a supportive healthcare experience.
Team Player: You are highly organized and want to get stuck in, working collaboratively with your pharmacy team to deliver great results.
