Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this 1-year school-based programme enables you to earn while you learn, leading to both a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
You will spend the academic year immersed in practical classroom teaching, putting pedagogical theory into practice with continuous 1-on-1 mentorship.
100% Salaried – No Tuition Fees: Earn £24,444 while you train, with full coverage of your course tuition fees.
Direct Classroom Experience: Teach as an unqualified Maths teacher from the start, taking on independent responsibility step by step.
Dedicated Mentorship: Benefit from regular 1-on-1 coaching, weekly feedback, and advice from a personal subject tutor and in-school mentor.
Weekly Collaborative Training: Spend half a day each week in targeted training alongside fellow trainees across the Ark Teacher Training and Lift Schools networks.
Two-Week Summer School: Begin your training year (2–13 August 2027) with immersive grounding in lesson planning, behaviour management, and learning theory.

To be eligible for this salaried ITT position, you must meet the following criteria:
Degree: An undergraduate degree (2:2 classification or above) completed before the start of the programme. A degree in Mathematics, STEM, or a related discipline is preferred (or a strong A-Level in Maths at Grade C or above).
GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
Teaching Status: Must not already hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work Rights: Right to live and work in the UK throughout the training year.
