We are partnering with Cromwell Hospital (part of Bupa) to find a warm, dedicated Ward Host for a rewarding role in patient dining. In this vital position, you will combine outstanding hospitality with compassionate care, ensuring every patient enjoys a personalized, high-quality dining experience during their stay.
Delivering a five-star patient dining experience, offering exceptional service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Introducing patients to the dining service, explaining menus, meal periods, and guiding them through the ordering process using electronic tablets.
Accurately managing food and beverage orders while carefully handling dietary requirements, allergens, and special requests.
Preparing, assembling, and serving meals to the correct patient at the right time and temperature.
Liaising closely with ward and clinical teams, responding promptly to requests, maintaining immaculate safety records, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked environment.
Previous experience delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment (hospitality, healthcare, or private luxury settings are a big plus!).
Strong, confident communication skills with a natural ability to provide personalized, empathetic service.
Excellent attention to detail, basic IT skills, and a flexible approach to working shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
An understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen awareness (Level 2 Food Safety certification is desirable or supported).
