About the Role

We are recruiting a permanent, full-time Care Assistant to join the care team at Lawton Manor Care Home in Stoke on Trent.

In this fulfilling and varied role, you will help residents enjoy each day by delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support. Working a full-time 48-hour weekly contract on a mixed shift pattern (days and nights, including every other weekend), you will assist residents with daily living tasks, personal care, mealtime support, and meaningful one-to-one companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality personal care, mobility support, and daily living assistance according to individualized care plans.

• Spend dedicated one-to-one time with residents, offering emotional support, interaction, and companionship.

• Support residents during mealtimes, promoting good nutrition and hydration.

• Maintain clear, accurate care records and contribute to smooth shift handovers across day and night routines.

• Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of resident care.

About You

To join us as a Care Assistant, you will bring:

• Previous experience caring for older adults in a care home environment (Required).

• A warm-hearted, empathetic, and compassionate nature.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive "can-do" attitude.

• Flexibility to work full-time 48-hour weeks across mixed shifts (days/nights) and every other weekend.
