Salary: £25,900 (Pro-rata)

About the Role

Kick-start your engineering career with an immersive 12-week summer internship. Working within a dynamic project team and receiving expert coaching, your responsibilities will span RF/digital design, software/firmware development, and signal processing algorithm design across advanced platforms.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design high-performance electronics (digital, RF, and analogue) for cutting-edge products.

• Help manufacture devices engineered to operate reliably in extreme environments.

• Create software, applications, and GUIs using languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or React.

• Create FPGA-based digital signal processing applications typically using VHDL.

• Develop software and/or firmware for a wide range of target devices including FPGAs, ARM processors, GPUs, and microcontrollers (using VHDL or Verilog).

• Design advanced signal processing algorithms and perform mathematical modelling.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications):

• Academic Background: Must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum of a 2:1 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.

• Technical Passion: Excellent problem-solving skills, a genuine enthusiasm for technology, and a strong motivation to deliver solutions that enhance global safety and security.

Security Note: Due to defense and security regulations, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
