At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a Bank Housekeeping Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the domesticated and housekeeping team at Newington Court Care Home in Sittingbourne, Kent.

In this essential support position, you will perform a variety of housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing tasks across resident rooms, communal lounges, dining areas, and staff spaces. By maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation, your hard work will directly impact the health, wellbeing, and comfort of residents, visiting families, and care staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Domestic Cleaning: Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitization of resident bedrooms, bathrooms, communal lounges, hallways, and dining spaces.

• Infection Control: Follow strict infection prevention protocols, safe chemical handling guidelines (COSHH), and hygiene standards to maintain a safe living environment.

• Home Presentation: Keep care home facilities tidy, comfortable, and well-presented to uphold a warm, homely atmosphere.

• Flexible Bank Cover: Step in on a casual basis to provide essential housekeeping coverage for planned annual leave, sickness, or peak home operational needs.

• Experience: Formal qualifications are not required! Previous housekeeping, domestic cleaning, or care home experience is welcome, but full training will be provided.
