We are looking for an experienced, passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join the therapies team at Kirsop-Taylor Healthcare Ltd. In this focused specialist role, you will deliver a 3-hour initial assessment with a comprehensive report (non-EHCNA) for a young person in York. You will play a vital role as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication and neurodevelopmental needs develop functional communication skills, increase independence, and thrive within their educational environment.
Deliver a 3-hour initial speech and language therapy assessment and produce a detailed report (non-EHCNA).
Promote an inclusive, person-centred approach focused on meaningful, functional outcomes that improve participation and independence.
Maintain accurate clinical records and liaise closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, family, school, and local stakeholders.
Experience & Clinical Background: Proven professional experience working with children and young people presenting with complex profiles, including ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder, language disorders, social communication challenges, movement seeking, attention maintenance difficulties, fine motor challenges, verbal prompt dependencies, sensory sensitivities, academic delays, reading comprehension differences, and swallowing difficulties.
Professional Standards: Dedicated to evidence-based, collaborative practice with exceptional clinical documentation and communication skills.
