Kitchen Assistant – Permanent
Location: Kirkburn Court Care Home, Academy Place, Peterhead, Grampian, AB42 1JQ
Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour
Hours: 18.50 hours per week (Unique Rota: 5 days worked over 14 days — Sat & Sun 07:00–14:00, Mon–Wed 06:30–15:00, followed by 9 days off!)
Employment Type: Permanent
Shift: Day shifts available

As a Kitchen Assistant at Kirkburn Court Care Home, you will help deliver first-class food and hospitality that ensures our residents receive exceptional all-round care. A healthy, nutritious diet is vital for resident wellbeing, and you will play a key part in producing meals and creating a wonderful dining experience.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting with food preparation and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen
Supporting the catering team in producing fresh, nutritious meals for residents
Interacting with residents, getting to know them, and enhancing their overall dining and hospitality experience
About You

Formal qualifications are not necessary—while similar experience in a commercial or care setting is useful, we provide all the training you need to thrive.
