We are currently recruiting an energetic Children’s Racquets Sports Coach to join the team at Bangor Aurora Leisure Complex on behalf of Northern Community Leisure Ltd.
In this exciting role, you will help young people develop their racquet sports skills, coordination, confidence, and teamwork in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment, inspiring the next generation to enjoy being active.
As a Children’s Racquets Sports Coach, your responsibilities will include:
Coaching Delivery: Deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions across tennis, pickleball, table tennis, and other racquet sports.
Programme Planning: Plan and deliver progressive coaching programmes that support skill development and physical literacy.
Inclusive Environment: Create a fun, safe atmosphere that accommodates different ages and abilities, encouraging personal growth and sportsmanship.
Community Engagement: Support programme growth through events, taster sessions, and school engagement initiatives.
Safety & Safeguarding: Maintain high standards of participant wellbeing, safeguarding, and health and safety at all times.
Qualifications: Hold (or be working towards) a recognized National Governing Body coaching qualification in at least one racquet sport (e.g., tennis, pickleball, or table tennis).
Experience: Prior experience coaching children and young people in a sports environment.
Core Skills: Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to varying skill levels.
Certifications: A current Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
Due to the nature of working with children, an Enhanced Access NI check is required, alongside completing an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Competitive Pay: £18.28 per hour.
