Salary: £13.25 – £14.84 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (44 hours per week, night shifts with alternate weekends required)

We are partnering with Clare House (part of Bupa)—a top-tier, highly rated care home dedicated to person-centred care, independence, and choice—to find a dedicated Senior Care Assistant for a permanent night-shift role. In this vital position, you will take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, inspiring and coaching our care assistants, and assisting nurses with clinical duties.
What You’ll Be Doing
Taking day-to-day responsibility for running a unit during night shifts and leading effective shift handovers.
Supporting clinical duties, including helping nurses observe, issue medication, review care plans, and maintain accurate digital records.
Inspiring, developing, training, and mentoring a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional personal care.
Building strong, compassionate relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.
What We’re Looking For
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role, with a strong understanding of its rewards and operational challenges.
A motivated, positive, and resilient personality with fantastic interpersonal and leadership skills.
A deep passion for giving residents the kindness, dignity, and personalized support they deserve.
