Are you a resilient, confident, and trusted leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment?
At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with one of the UK’s most ambitious, award-winning supermarket chains to recruit a Deputy Store Manager for their busy Shepherd's Bush location.
As a Deputy Store Manager, you’ll be cool, calm, and collected under pressure. You are someone who leads by example, getting stuck in on the shop floor while masterfully handling behind-the-scenes operations. You will hold a high level of responsibility—taking full ownership of the store in the Store Manager’s absence—to inspire your team and keep business booming.
Your leadership will keep the store running smoothly, ensuring high standards across all operations:
Team Leadership: Set a spectacular example on the shop floor, motivating, supporting, and developing your team daily.
Store Ownership: Independently manage all store operations, cash processes, and team delegations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Operational Excellence: Diligently manage deliveries, oversee the till area, monitor stock integrity, and strictly comply with Health and Safety standards.
Performance Driven: Closely monitor, manage, and continuously look for ways to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Customer Champion: Act as a friendly face for every customer, resolving queries and delivering unmatched customer service.
To excel in this dynamic management role, you will bring:
Management Experience: A proven track record of leading, developing, and motivating a team within a challenging, high-volume environment.
Commercial Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and a knack for successful delegation.
KPI Management: The ability to understand retail data and use it to improve store performance.
Communication Skills: Open, friendly, and authoritative communication to guide your colleagues and connect with customers.
Confidence: The presence and resilience to support your team through every shift and adapt to changing priorities.
Our client deeply values leadership and offers an exceptional package to match your dedication:
Competitive Salary: £41,800 - £50,600 per annum.
Work-Life Balance: 30–35 days of annual holiday (pro rata).
Fantastic Discounts: A 10% in-store discount to enjoy across all products.
Future & Well-being: A contributory pension scheme and enhanced family leave.
Professional Growth: Continuous, high-tier management training to champion your career progression toward becoming a Store Manager and beyond.
