Senior Care Assistant – Birchmere Mews Care Home
Hourly Rate: £13.85 per hour
Location: Birchmere Mews Care Home, Knowle, Solihull, B93 9LQ
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time (Shift Details: 7:45 AM – 8:00 PM, including every other weekend)

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join the award-winning team at Birchmere Mews Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. In this pivotal senior role, you will lead and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Monitor resident wellbeing closely, identifying changes impacting care and updating care plans and written records to reflect any variations.
Play an active role in person-centred care planning by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Support residents safely with their medication requirements.
Conduct staff supervisions and support team members with their professional development.
Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are acted upon and concerns are escalated appropriately.
Qualifications: Must hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
