Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this 1-year school-based programme enables you to earn while you learn, leading to a Level 6 Apprenticeship qualification, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
You will spend the vast majority of your time in the classroom gaining practical teaching experience, translating pedagogical theory into real-world practice with 1-on-1 support every step of the way.
100% Salaried – Zero Tuition Fees: Earn £24,444 while training, with all course tuition fees fully covered via the apprenticeship pathway.
Triple Qualification: Graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Level 6 Apprenticeship.
Direct Classroom Experience: Teach as an apprentice Maths teacher from day one, taking on independent responsibility at a structured, manageable pace.
Personalised Coaching & Mentorship: Receive regular 1-on-1 feedback and advice from a dedicated in-school coach and personal subject tutor.
Weekly Collaborative Training: Spend half a day every week attending targeted training sessions alongside fellow trainees from across the Ark Teacher Training and Lift Schools networks.
Two-Week Summer School: Prepare for the academic year with an intensive foundation course (2–13 August 2027) covering lesson planning, behaviour management, and core educational theory.

To qualify for this Maths Teacher Apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following entry requirements:
Degree: An undergraduate degree (2:2 classification or higher) completed before the start of the programme. A degree in Mathematics, STEM, or a related field is preferred (or a strong A-Level in Maths at Grade C or above).
GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
Teaching Status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work Rights: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
