Role Overview
As a Principal Maintenance Engineer, you will undertake complex analysis on work package performance following maintenance periods. By evaluating maintenance costs, defect trends, and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodology, you will inform support organizations of future resource and spare part requirements, producing fully optimized maintenance work packages for allocated platforms.
Core Duties
Conduct continuous Material State Assessments for designated platforms and systems, performing impact analysis and providing oversight to the Maintenance Manager.
Deliver weekly performance summary presentations to the Maintenance Manager.
Produce well-written, explicit work packages that delivery teams can readily plan and estimate.
Monitor work package progress against baseline schedules to ensure safe, legal close-out while identifying maintenance optimization and Lessons Learned (LfE) opportunities.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Education: ONC, HNC, HND, or Degree-level qualification in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant working experience.
Specialist Knowledge: Specialist engineering expertise and practical experience within a specific subject area.
Lifecycle & Compliance: Solid working knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and adherence to statutory regulations (including Information Systems, Safety Health & Environment, and Security Requirements).
Security Clearance: Must achieve a minimum of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
