Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with justice and immigration facilities management teams to connect skilled practical professionals with meaningful operational roles. We are currently recruiting a dedicated FM Services Operative to join the team at HMP Doncaster in South Yorkshire.
In this varied, hands-on role, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and well-functioning environment across the prison estate. Working as part of a multi-skilled facilities management team, your daily maintenance activities will ensure facilities remain fit for purpose, directly supporting rehabilitation, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for everyone on site.
As an FM Services Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site in strict compliance with safety requirements.
Multi-Trade Support: Handle a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks spanning multiple trades within your skills, experience, and training.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and fellow facilities colleagues to complete coordinated multi-trade projects.
Digital Tracking: Maintain accurate records of planned and reactive works using handheld technology and update asset information promptly.
Compliance & Culture: Ensure schedules are completed within agreed timescales while actively supporting the prison's rehabilitative culture and continuous improvement.
Trade Qualifications: A completed recognised apprenticeship or equivalent trade-based qualification.
Relevant Experience: Proven experience carrying out maintenance and repair work within a facilities management, engineering, or similar regulated environment.
Work Ethic: The ability to work independently, prioritize workloads effectively, and use your own initiative.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with the capability to build trusted working relationships.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check (covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and relevant police information) in accordance with safeguarding regulations, alongside the completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Competitive Pay: £30,747.92 per annum.
