About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic multi-skilled professional for a unique combined role on behalf of Amathea in Workington, a warm care home providing exceptional support for older people, including those living with dementia.
This position offers fantastic variety, combining:
Cook (Mondays, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM): Preparing nutritious, home-style meals and catering to individual dietary requirements.
Domestic Assistant (Tuesday or Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM): Maintaining clean, comfortable bedrooms and communal areas.
Flexible Kitchen Assistant Relief Shifts: Optional extra shifts to boost your earnings and add even more variety to your schedule.
What You Will Need
Essential Certification: A willingness to work towards or hold a Food Hygiene qualification.
Experience: Previous experience in catering, hospitality, housekeeping, or care is welcome, but a warm, caring attitude and strong work ethic matter most.
Teamwork & Organisation: Reliability, good organisation, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a friendly team.
Flexibility & Proximity: A flexible approach to work and a manageable commute. Ideally living within 15 miles of Workington (CA14 3JG).
